The inspiration for this nursery started with the wallpaper.  I fell in love with the color and pattern, so the design revolved around that.  Because this room is in a rental apartment, there wasn't an option to make any structural changes, add ceiling lighting, or expensive window treatments.  The blank slate allows for the colors in the (removable since it's a rental!) wallpaper to shine and is accented with pops of pink, yellow, and green in the accessories.  Most of the other furniture is white so the accent wall really stands out with the exception of some textured wood tones and reclining gray chair to keep the room feeling cozy and warm.  I chose a soft pink rug so the floor is comfortable for the baby to crawl and play.  The bookshelf is wall mounted for safety and has low shelving for easy to grab toys and books.
